This is always the problem with sequels. Sometimes they are just not that good, and I'm always asking myself why can't it just be as good as the original. As for a film like Robocop part 3, I just wanted to vomit. First the actor they cast is not Peter Weller, So the suit doesn't help much with the crappy robot voice this other actor gives for the Robocop sequel. Two the robot he fights this time is a "ninja" Robot, don't bother thinking what he looks like, its just an asian guy "playing" a robot ninja which makes the movie more tacky and dull. What really sucks is that the original Robocop Director Paul Verhoven, never directed the 2 robocop sequels. So that edgyness, and attitude of the original Robocop, isn't there. It doesn't feel dark or murky, or give you that feeling that this is what society might come to. It's just an excuse to make money off the franchise. My advice is to pretend these movies where never made. |
