When first saw this movie on the sci-fi channel in 1999, it seemed as good as the other sequels, but, when i bought the movie on VHS for 2 dollars in a local flea market, i realized that rather than ending the trilogy of a dead police officer who became a cyborg whose main purpose is to dish out justice through mindlessly necessary violence while saying memorable one liners such as "Dead or alive, you're coming with me" with a bang, the 3rd installment seems to have made moviegoers say "what a gyp". anyway, the plot of the story goes like this: Omni Consumer Products (OCP) ends up merging with a japanese corporation who's major plan is to turn Old Detroit into Delta City, and with that, it means that homes will be destroyed and some families will be torn apart. and robocop ends up feeling pity for the people that are about to lose every thing. in Robocop 3, the cast has changed a whole lot, Peter Weller's been replaced by Robert Burke, and Nancy Allen seems that she somewhat could care less since she and Weller were a good pair. to conclude, buy Robocop 3 if you must, but be warned, it can and probably will leave an odd taste in your mouth |
