This is the movie that got me interested in becoming a historian. It has great acting especially by Jeff Daniels as Colonel Joshua Lawrence Chamberlin and Sam Elliot as General John Buford. The movie does an excellent job covering all the highlights of the battle like Devil's Den, Little Round Top, and Pickett's Charge. The visuals are breathtaking and you really feel that you are witnessing the greatest battle on American soil first hand. This is the best war movie ever told, the emotions run rampant in this one and it truely shows in the actors performances, if you haven't seen this movie you are missing out. |
