Poetic Justice is one of the few movies that attempts to portray a rough and soft subject at the same time-- the ghetto and poetry. Maya Angelou's works of art keep the movie smooth and sophisticated, while Jackson and Shakur do a great job at getting into their characters' minds and staying in them, unlike most musicians who attempt acting. Poetic Justice also does a nice job at exposing the lives of poor, African-American communities. On top of that, this movie gives you an adequate dose of humor and love. |
