I remember back around the mid 90's I kept seeing this latino gang movie on HBO and always thought it looked like something I wouldn't be interested in watching ...so I'd turn the channel. Then one day nothing else was on and I left it on this movie...After about 5 minutes I was mad I never gave it chance sooner!
The movie follows the lives of 3 family members and boyhood friends...Miklo (Damian Chapa), Cruz (Jesse Borrego), and Paco (Benjamin Bratt) in Chicano Los Angeles. From the streets of LA their lives take different paths with Cruz becoming an artist who gets addicted to heroin, Paco becomes a cop who ends up having a dramatic confrontation with Miklo when he gets out of Prison for murder.
Trying to describe everything this film has to offer wouldn't do it justice. Plain and simple...Blood in, Blood out is one of the very best films I have ever seen! |
