I enjoyed this and the Matt Damon version of this great Ludlum story. I enjoyed this (the Richard Chamberlain) version even more because, having read the book again recently, it is exactly as I had envisioned it. Great care was obviously taken to re-create this wonderful story on the screen. Criticism of the acting in this film shows that some do not really understand the craft of doing a film treatment. At any rate, this version is the best in terms of being the truest to the novel and the screen treatment. |
