This deserves to be a seasonal classic, an almost perfect Muppetized retelling of Charles Dickens' best-loved story with a solid performance by Michael Caine at its core, and wonderful support from the Muppet cast, with Kermit as Bob Cratchit, Miss Piggy as Emily, Waldorf and Statler as the Marley brothers, Fozzie as Fozziwig and Robin as Tiny Tim. Paul Williams' songs are another bonus, and the whole thing looks gorgeous. Highly recommended. |
