By far the most erotic of the "Lolita" films and deserving to be among the most controversial of films. Beautifully filmed and told. A young French girl has a sexual relationship with an older Asian gentleman. The age differences are soon forgotten when confronted by racism and domestic problems. A truly eye-opening film especially since the story is based on the semi autobiographical novel by Marguerite Duras. The non-rated version is extremely shocking, graphic and erotic and shows what appears to be actual penetration. The pretty young actress, Jane March, is also the sexy lead in Color of Night, released only 2 years later, but appearing much more mature. Pictures and more reviews at world of brian dot com |
