I rented this just because it looked realy cool, and it was. But it's a lot more than cool, its a brilient gangster film, with oscar quality performences. This film has its own style that you don't find in other films. It knows, or seems to know, where its headed. The dialauge is exelent and often funny. Tarrantino perfecly balences Drama, Actionand comedy in his films. Every performence is great, especialy Tim Roth and Harvey Keitel, who perform a bond, even though there not supposed to tell personal info. Madsen is a creepy psyco who tortures a cop with plesure. He's so confident and in control that he makes simple crap like drinking coke and trowing things look cool. Buscemi is entertaining as Mr. pink, the only one who lives, even though he gets arrested(you can here him yelling at the cops "dont shoot!".) This is more than entertaining, its endlessly watchable, but it is very artsy. Though it is a masterpiece, Tarrantino outdose this with his next film, Pulp Fiction. I asked a friend if he had seen it, he said no, but he said that any film with five different DVD covers has to be good. I let him borrow mine(The Mr. White cover) and said something that sums it up very well. "The whole time I was watching it, I was very tense, its so susspensful." |
