because this film certainly delivers. All the buzz this movie made while premiering at all the International Film Festivals and all the hype about it to this very day is well deserved.
This movie is about a bank heist gone wrong. A bigshot crime boss recruits 5 strangers to pull of a multi-million dollar robbery. The 5 men hired to work with one another had never met before but the crime boss knows each one and knows their backgrounds, etc... Im going to skip the movie summary from here because you can read about the movie in other reviews, instead I'll tell you why I like this movie so much.
First of all its a very controlled ultra-violent film. If you dont watch the entire film or are distracted, you better hit your "pause" button before you proceed because this movie moves at a rapid pace and it doesnt follow the Start-Finish formula, the film actually starts in the middle and then goes back to the beginning and then it resumes at the "present", very similar to "The Usual Suspects" film. Very cool directing by Mr. Tarantino and the movie's script are damn good and the acting kicks ass. If you liked the "The Usual Suspects" you'll enjoy "Reservoir Dogs". I found "Reservoir Dogs" to be more intense than "The Usual Suspects" both films are must watch films.
Reservoir Dogs, brilliantly directed, perfectly written, superbly acted and one viewing wont be enough to get the totality of this film. Watch it again and again not only for all the dialogue you might miss, but the visuals also. Although this kind of film isnt for everyone, I think everyone should still watch it, even if you hate Quentin Tarantino you gotta admit he does great work, always outside the box directing and writing. If you enjoy "Reservoir Dogs", watch "Killing Zoe" also written by Q.
