A sweet comedy about two social hermits, one couldn't get a girl if he tried, and the other a doormat for her handsome part-time boyfriend. After encountering a gyspy that promises him 4-hours of attraction from the opposite sex, Paul shares the secret Love Potion No. 9 with Diane, and they decide that it should be tested on human subjects. Well, feeling it was their duty to sceince, they accept the challenge. In the course of Paul becoming a stud and Diane transforming from an ugly duckling to a radiant swan, they connect and fall in love. But all is shattered when Paul decides to propose and Diane's handsome hunk has returned to sweep her off her feet. Paul has to find a way to stop the wedding before he loses the woman he loves.
Altogether, an excellent film, sweet and funny, you can't help but smile, and enjoy the hilarious outcomes of their encounters. |
