I fell in love with Geena Davis when I saw this movie. When she did the splits to catch that baseball, I practiced until I knew how to do the splits, and guess what? Now I can. This is the best comedy I have ever seen. I rank it in the top five for comedies along with "Mrs. Doubtfire", "Airplane!", "Bringing Up Baby", and "The Naked Gun Trilogy". Not only is Geena Davis excellent in her solice, dignified brilliance as Dottie Henson, we also get great performances by a drunken Tom Hanks, a sexy Madonna, a wise-cracking Rosie O'Donnell and a sympathetic whining Lori Petty. |
