A Nazi, Klaus, (Gunter Meisner) escapes to Spain after the war, only to continue as a pedophile, torturing, molesting and murdering young boys. After a horrific opening scene, we learn that Klaus has unsuccessfully tried to kill himself and now resides inside of a "glass cage", which is actually a large iron lung...quite a contraption that's sound lends a very creepy effect to this film. A handsome young nurse, Angelo, (David Sust, in an excellent performance) comes to tend to Klaus, much to Klaus' wife's (Marisa Paredes, also superb!) chagrin. What follows is beyond atrocious, turning this into a horror story of the highest degree. You see, young Angelo looks up to Klaus, and wants to be just like him... This film reminds me of what Hannibal Lector would have been like when he was younger, as realized by David Sust as Angelo, who is, for reasons you will find out late in the film, is following in the footsteps of a true Nazi psychopath: the character of Klaus. Everything about this movie is jsut right; the atmosphere, the script, the direction, the acting...and I highly recommend this film to anyone who enjoys a good jolt of shock in their systems. Dynamite cinema!
In Spanish with subtitles.
