I watched when I knew nothing of anime, and came out feeling that this genre of animation is definitely a keeper. Grave of the Fireflies was an excellent film, bringing me to tears more than once during the film. It had a different point of view to WWII, showing the Japanese civilian sufferings during times of invasion. I thought this was an emotional ride, and those who are interested in something meaningful should check it out. |
