****.net is an idiot.
It's a tragedy about someone caught in the urban 'underworld' of prostitution-- obviously there's going to be a degree of 'distastefulness' (if you even want to call it it). This isn't 'Pretty Woman'!
That said, this movie is both haunting and beautiful-- I think it keeps with the spirit of the Henry iv plays wonderfully in many regards. And the dialogue is wonderful-- at times very poetic, which is cool, since it's 'bums' speaking these lines... all in all, a great film. |
