Dark, Quirky. Easily watched, highly enjoyed.

It is a quirky movie, which makes it easier to like. I like quirky, 'Heathers', 'Barton Fink' that kind of thing.. and this movie belongs squarely in between them. It is not as a good a 'This World, Than the Fireworks.' but it is another Billy Zane sleeper, a hidden gem that didn't get alot of exsposure, which is a shame. If you liked 'This World, Than The Fireworks.' than you will like this.. Billy Zane does an excellent job acting in both films, and each film gave something else to the viewer as well. In 'This World..' it was the stunning visualization through the camera.. In 'Blood and Concrete.' it is the music.. Excellent. Billy Zane is the un-sung Johnny Depp.. |
