This movie was the only sh**TY nightmare on Elm Street next to part 2. This movie was terrible in comparison to the earlier movies and New Nightmare. Freddy was the opposite of the way he was in part 1,3,4,5,and 7. He was like F*CK*N comedian wearing a glove. This movie was almost making fun of the REAL Freddy Krueger. The storyline was horrible. The acting was horrible. There were no good dream sequences or transitions between reality and dream. THANK GOD, they made NEW NIGHTMARE. They couldn't disrespect Freddy by letting him go down this way. Even the way they killed him and got the best of him was Idiotic. Compared to the final showdowns in part 1 and 4, this supposed final showdown with Freddy was like watching Walt Disney. The only good part in the movie was when the kid got high, fell asleep, and Freddy pulled him into the video game. This was similar to the when the kid got pulled into the comic book in part 5. This movie insulted and did not connect to the other movies at all. The daughter was the weakest heroine in the whole series. I thought Kristen was weak in part 3 and 4, but the daughter brings on a whole new level of weakness. The only thing I thought was ok was when they showed Freddy in human form, and how he became a serial killer through his history. I despised this movie as much as spinach in sh*t. Freddy Fans, Ignore this movie!! Its the only Freddy film that i say is horrible. If you want to see EXCELLENCE IN NIGHTMARE MOVIES, then watch Part 1, 3(Dream Warriors), 4(Dream Master), 5(Dream CHild), and of course, New Nightmare. There is no real Freddy in this movie, just idiotic clown pretending to be Freddy. No scare at all |
