After Rick is kicked out of the Army and unable to join the Canadian Army, he decides a little time at sea is what he needs. In the days before cruise lines, voyages at sea involved just a handful of passengers, and the ship was usually shared with a lot of cargo. Rick's fellow shipmates include a beautiful woman and a doctor. After a few days at sea, Rick begins a somewhat tense romance with the woman, and becomes friendly with the doctor. Eventually, the doctor informs Rick that he is a Japanese sympathizer, and will pay him for information that will assist a group of Japanese vigilantes in bombing work on the Panama Canal. After this, we learn that Rick is actually an American secret agent. But can he stop the bombing? |
