John Woo did a brilliant job with A better Tomorrow because he views two brothers on different paths: One is a cop and the other a con man. The treachery of the chinese gang put these two brothers together to fade out the bad men in their lives with gun firing, karate fighting, and family support from Chow Yun Fat and a few others.
