Havana is way up there

This is a story about jack Weil, a high stake poker player who comes to Havana to play the party of his life as this is the last days of the Bautista regime. He will find love instead.
I am very found of those type of exotic movies. There is always a feeling of nostalgia associated to them. The visuals are beautiful and the director takes full advantage of the sceneries.
The acting is very strong both from the lead male and female but also from all the supporting roles.
One caveat. Jack makes a serie of choices that are not truly understandable. One of his friend qualify him at the end of the movie as noble but still.... |
