American moral tale at its very best

The very best books and movies all share one telling quality. Once one is finished reading or viewing the movie, one wants to keep knowing and sharing the lives of the main charachers. This is true of Mockingbird as well as of all the movies I have selected as A+ grade movies. They are all timeless and "super human" in that they touch the soul in the very deepest way possible. The combination of Horton Foote (screenplay) and Gregory Peck (as Atticus) his definitive career roll create a superlative experience for all to enjoy and savour. |
