Horrible movie of a wonderful novel. Flat, lifeless performances by everyone except Bonnie Bedelia.
Idiotic script which completely eliminated the idea (red herring) that Molto was the killer, a main point of the book. Direction like an after school special. WONDERFUL music, Mr. Williams! Wasted here, though.
Don't ever bother wasting your time watching this movie, not even on TV, it is just terrible.
Poor Scott Turow, here the victim of the Stephen King Phenomenon: great novels made into lousy movies by directors who haven't a clue. |
