When I saw this movie, I didn't find it scary at all. I don't have arachnophobia personally and that's why I thought it was pretty dumb. It looked like somebody's attempt to show a bunch of spiders to scare people and although you may check your shoes next time you put them on, the movie was not very entertaining. Playing up a, in real-life, truly harmless spider to be a monster was the first flaw. The movie was full of them. John Goodman provided some laughs, but the fact that this movie made the spiders smart, especially the main one, was pretty stupid. The main spider in the end is dodging flames from a makeshift flamethrower. The director took what could have been maybe a decent story and ruined it. Not well done. |
