The description here is misleading. The story is actually about Michael Keaton and Melanie Griffith buying this property as an investment for their future. Michael keeps his 9-5 job while Melanie continues doing repairs and remodeling during the day. This is a single building with multiple dwellings which are leased out to help with the cost of purchase and repairs. Renters come and go as usual, at least until a man shows up for the last apartment.
Something feelings strange in the way this man acts and makes excuses for any blanks in the application and then makes many promises but no proof. He is accepted to lease in what I saw as taking advantage of the wife, because their new renter seemed to keep her in the middle of everything. And with the last promise of being late with the deposit it begins, it will have you wondering what the hell is really going on...and you will soon find out.
It is a great movie that will keep your butt in the seat but on the edge. |
