The plot: Philosiphy and Religion has failed to tell us what exactly happens after death. So for five young medical students, its now up to Advance Science. Nelson(Keifer Sutherland)comes up with an ingenious plan to kill himself so he can explore, and have his friends(Bacon, Roberts, Platt, and Baldwin) bring him back to life. But when their experiment turns into a bidding war, bad things start to happen. The experiment becomes more and more dangerous... and when its to late... they find out that they did not come back alone. They are being haunted...
Flatliners is the most beautiful, haunting, metaphorical movie I have ever seen. The plot and lesson are so much deeper than most can even think. The directing skills is ingenious... with using blue and orange to make the atmosphere more creepy. The films score is the most beautiful score Ive ever heard. And the ending is so brilliant and jaw dropping. It makes you realize the journey these characters have been through mentally. Over all the movie is beautiful, smart, and haunting... Some lines shouldnt be crossed, and some questions just shouldnt be answered. |
