Not as good as I would have thought

I remember when this came out back in 1990, I meant to go see it but put it off until renting it from the library yesterday. It was not as good as I would have expect. Certainly, not as good as Good Morning Vietnam like the cover claims. It comes off as half baked over all with a very Hollywood type of ending.
