This is the story of a dog and a cat and their adventures together. It's a little more epic than one might initially think.
It's a cute story, good for young children, and some adults might enjoy it.
It has lots of cute puppy and kitten style antics, but nothing really hysterical, so it's not a comedy.
It's innocent and wholesome, although there are one or two scenes that very young children might find frightening.
Compared to "The Incredible Journey", it's a little more interesting, and a lot cuter. Compared to "Homeward Bound", it's much more wholesome but has none of the Hollywood glamor, which is in my opinion a strength.
Overall, it's not very memorable, but you may find that the movie grows on you. It has just enough plot twists to keep you mildly nterested, just enough cuteness to keep you smiling, and just enough adventure to keep you wondering.
Dudely Moore captures the spirit of the movie in his cute and simple narration of the story.
However, I think the story's a little too long. They could have probably gotten away with a half hour less.
Nevertheless, a perfect movie for a winter night when you have nothing better to do. |
