From the very beginning,this movie touched a part of my soul. It tells us that, if we are letting a mundane existence rule our lives, we are dying (of a brain cloud!!) and we need to let go of all that and live like we only have a few months left of our lives.
It isn't meant to be taken literally!! Nobody who takes it that way is going to understand.
If you "GET IT" from the very beginning, you can't help but LOVE this movie all the way through. Joe lets go of his limited life and learns once again to put himself out there and really live.
The GrayNoMore girls are living examples of people who let their parents limit their thinking; people who are afraid to let go and take a chance and live their own lives.
DeDe... the girl who looks just like them... and is afraid of getting involved with Joe because he is dying... so she goes back to her dying existence in that basement... she is what Joe has left behind.
What a BEAUTIFUL story. Watch it and live it!! |
