If you don't understand the metaphors in L. Frank Baum's forty-two OZ books, you missed the point of Zardoz. if you haven't a clue about British understatement and dry humor, you will be totally lost in this movie. John Boorman is a premier story teller and director. Science fiction is Boorman's satyric medium for this tale that blasts evolution, politics, and religion. |
