Zabriskie point most certainly deserves re-release in digital format. Independent film buffs will appreciate the stunning cinematography of urban, rural and desert landscapes. Experimental rock music fans will love the classic soundtrack, featuring outstanding improvisational scores by Pink Floyd, Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead. The movie is a must-see for both.

The story is somewhat is somewhat plodding and loosely connected, like other films of the era. There is also very little character development. It does however capture the stereotypical feelings and ideas of the times very well.

Despite the flaws, several segments, especially the sex scene, are particularly innovative must-sees and make the film worth the out-of-print cost.
