This is one of those movies that I can (and have) watched many times over.

The Way We Were does an outstanding job capturing a time & place. And of capturing a bitter-sweet relationship between the popular good-looking guy, and an ugly-duckling who is passionate about her convictions. Nothing was ever too easy for Katy.

Though I'm not necessarily a fan of Barbra Striesand's acting, she does an outstanding job convincing you that this unlikely couple can live happily ever after. And Robert Redford never looked better than when portraying Hubble Gardner. Sighhhh, oh - and of course his acting is splendid as he portrays the happy-go-lucky young Hubble. And as life gets more complicated, we watch Hubble struggle to find his way.

"So true to life, darling"
