On the subject it handles it probably deserves an "A", because I can't think of any other movie which really handles economics and finances like this one does. The reason I don't is because lastly it does handle money, stocks and Wallstret and although I do think the movie is good and exciting it's not something I could watch like everyday.
It has a great cast with Michael Douglas in his typical but definitely best suited role, the rich, greedy, ruthless businessman similar to his in A Perfect Murder and as always excells in it. Charlie Sheen also does very well in this, in fact he made quite a lot of good movies back in the late 80s. In any case the movie really has a touch of what it was like living in the 80s and brings in some excitement to a job one usually would consider dry and not worth filming about. Very recommendable. |
