Several times I have had foreigners ask me what film, to me, represents America, and Vision Quest has always been my answer. The movie represents the working class and a kid opening up to world and finding his place. Also the kid wants to fulfill an idealistic goal::: beat the best in the State. The character doesn't just want a cheap victory, he wants to beat the best. This is my America. RK |
