One of the better "car chase" flicks.

This is a different movie from a different time. Made at the tail-end of the counter-culture movement that dominated the '60s, "Vanishing Point" has a similar, yet darker flavor than a movie like "Easy Rider". Movies without happy endings were in vogue during this period. Lovers of old muscle cars should like this one, too. The chases are about as good as the classic one in "Bullet". Cleavon Little, whose career was WAY too short, was great as the blind DJ in this under-appreciated gem. |
