Grace Kelly was never more beautiful

This is one of Hitchcock's greatest movies starring perhaps his all time best Ice Princess, Grace Kelly.
Sure it is cliched now - the fireworks in the big love scene come to mind, but even in that scene Grace Kelly herself is simply wonderful.
With her face in shadow and the diamonds adorning her body, the line "Come on John, even in this light I can see where you are looking" is perhaps one of the sexiest moments in the history of cinema.
I also like that when French is being spoken, Hitchcock did not subtitle anything. I suppose because reading would have gotten in the way of the action.
This movie is really one of the great ones. |
