This film, 33 years later, is still a very socially consciencious work of art. This film works on a level different than the average film. It's mosty atmosphere. More like an experience within the world created by George Lucas. You must pay more attention to the images and sound design rather than the dialogue. There is social commentary on many issues in the film such as drugs, religion, consumerism, government control and even television that are still very relevant today. Any science fiction lover must see this film. |
