THX-1138 is a spectacular movie that is quite underappreciated film. It is a far-out story and some of the dialogue is muttled by annoucements by intercom. Just the way the whole story is present is spectacular and the special effects added make this movie feel like its not a failed attempt at a first movie...but something that is the groundbreaking first step towards the masterpiece that was Star Wars. Overall I thought the movie was brillently put out there and its abstractness is quite enthralling to the viewer. You might feel like you want to turn it off, but don't, the payoff is quite nice. Its also cool to see the beginnings of Star Wasrs, as you can draw comparisons in the dialogue and action. |
