Thirty years for Three Days....

I must be crazy. Why would anyone wait thirty years to watch this movie a second time? Because there were no DVD"S 25,20,15,or 10 years ago, that's why. It's a GREAT flick!!! I was as engrossed this time as I was after paying my $2.50 thirty years ago. The plot is fast paced, the acting very professional and the director definitely had a direction in his head of where this film was going BEFORE filming. It could be release today and would be favorably received by most film-goers. The visuals seemed better the first time I viewed this film. I still like the automobiles I see on screen and I like the idea of NO cell phones. Max von S....'s character seems like he might be found on YAHOO Auctions hawking his wares and talents to the highest bidder. What a great bad guy! You almost hate to hate him. Cliff Robertson's character, you almost love to hate. Redford's character, (who you love to love) looks a lot younger on screen than I remember. Imagine that! I bet I don't wait another thirty years before round three. |
