Taxi Driver starts out like all the other films of martin, narration. The film revolves around a lonely taxi driver, Travis, he belives that one day someone is going to get rid of drugs, hookers, pimps and low lives. One day, he encounters a woman that he loves and goes out with her.
Travis takes her to see a porno film, afterwards she dumps him. Travis grows remorse and try's to win her back. But fails, soon after he meets an underage hooker and tries to save her from her pimp. This film is quiet possibly, the best work from Martin Scorese ever. Robert's performance is unbelieveable, "Taxi Driver" is one of the best films of 1976. This how movies should be made. |
