I would truly like to see a director's cut of this movie, which contains the 45 minutes in which they trimmed out. Maybe then I would change my grade. But as of right now, this movie is almost too awful to watch. The special effects are awful, the sets are awful, especially the moon set, where you can see black curtains in the background which is supposed to be the vastness of space, but gave you a feeling of being compact. Gene Hackman is good as the villian, but the other villian (I forget his name) is more pathetic. I hope they do release a director's cut of this movie on DVD, because as of right now, this is a sad movie to watch. |
