Worth seeing for the unique cast alone

Somewhat flawed but interesting movie with a not to be repeated cast. Sally Field and Jeff Daniels are the leads and do perfectly respectable jobs. The fun comes in the secondary roles including a very young Arnold Schwarzenegger playing a body building fiddle player. Robert Englund of Freddy Kruger fame has his first screen role . Scatman Crothers shows up as Jeff Daniels right hand man and RG Armstrong chews up the scenery as an out of control gym owner with sexual addiction issues.
Parts of the movie seem unrelated to other parts but the scenes of Mr Universe entrants running through down town Birmingman in speedos and a polite but hurt Arnold Schwarzeneggar leading his blue grass band out of of country club party make up for the problems |
