A Film with a Documentary Feel

I wasn't very familiar about the St. Valentine's Day Massacre. I'd heard of it, but didn't know much else about it, especially when it took place, who was involved, and what ultimately happened. This film was a good way to find out, as it kind of felt like a documentary, so I was able to follow what happened. I liked how there was a narrator informing us of who each person was and a few vital statistics on each person involved. Every time a major person is introduced, the narrator talks about them without disrupting any movement. It flowed very well, and kept the pace without interruption. I was quite gripped by the action sequences and plot that led to the massacre. Though I'm not much for mobster stories, this one was very gripping. I'll recommend this to anyone who wants to know a little more about our history. |
