In Joel Schumacher's 1985 teenager movie, "St. Elmo's Fire," it tells the story of seven friends, now graduated from college, trying to survive in the real world. Judd Nelson and Ally Sheedy star as Alec and Leslie, a couple desperately trying to save their breaking romance. Jules (Demi Moore) is a wild child living for the thrills and highs of a moment. Kevin (Andrew McCarthy) is a journalist looking for the perfect inspiration to write a column on the meaning of life. Billy, played by Rob Lowe, is a rebel/rocker, within already having a crumbling marriage and a child he never sees, trying to survive between going from job to job. Wendy (Mare Winningham)is a sweet virgin who's secretly fallen in love with Billy. Emilio Estevez plays Kirbo, a waiter who has insanely fallen in love with an older woman.(Andie MacDowell) Through all the ups and downs of adolescence, they all find a mysterious courage to continue through the form of their local hangout, The St. Elmo's Bar, where they each find peace and clarity. Named I believe to be one of the best 80's teen flicks, "St. Elmo's Fire" will forever be a part of your heart, as it's fires forever burn your soul.
