Unforgettable Mermaid Love Story!

SPLASH is about Allen Bauer (Tom Hanks), a workaholic fruit & vegetables manager convince that he can't fall in love. When he was little child, he saw something that was extraoridnary that he couldn't possibly believe. He jump off the boat and dive into the water and saw a mermaid. The little mermaid(Daryl Hannah), she falls in love with the little boy, Allen Bauer (Hanks), but the rescuers pulled away from him and the mermaid seemed sad at that time. Now, when they were all grown up. Allen had a boat accident and fell into the water and that's when Madison came to rescue him. Madison was on the beach and woke himself up and realizes he saw the mermaid hiding in the bushes. The Mermaid gave a kiss to Allen and left into the ocean. Allen wanted to find out where this lady will be until the mermaid went to the public fully naked and some of the guard dressed her and went to the police station. The mermaid had a wallet of Allen to be able to trace him and that's where Allen arrives at the police station and finally meets the girl of his dreams. They began to feel in love by kissing alot. Although, the mermaid can't talk until she started watching TV. She began to speak in English more than ever. The two started communicating with each other and having a good time. The mermaid wanted to call herself, Madison. So that's how she got her name by Allen. Allen propose to Madison to get married, and she says yes. Meanwhile, when a disturbance came during the visit at U.S. President's party where Madison and Allen was there, a scientist (Eugene Levy) interrupts by spraying water at Madison and became the mermaid. Madison tries to tell the secret of her being a real mermaid, Allen seems to believe that this was unacceptable. So the scientists from the government research Madison for further studies, Allen was brought back to his home. Even though, he was mad about Madison being a mermaid. Allen had the second thought and he has to get some help by his brother, Freddie (John Candy) and the scientist (Eugene Levy). When Allen arrives at the government's secret lab where they kept Madison, Allen went inside to see Madison and Madison was overjoyed that he was here beside her. So Allen had to get her out of there by making a distraction. The plan went out great until the military team tries to capture them when the scientist (Eugene Levy) tries to distract the military but couldn't. Finally, Madison & Allen arrives at the beach by running away from the military. Madison told that she saved Allen when they were little kids when Allen fell off the boat at that time, Allen couldn't believed it, but he did. Allen wanted to go with her into the ocean, but he can't because he is going to be arrested already. When Allen couldn't stand the military trying to capture Madison, Allen jump into the ocean and calls Madison. Madison comes towards Allen and gave a long kiss when a group of divers tries to capture them until Madison and Allen defends the divers. Madison and Allen escapes and together they went to a long romantic journey to make love and they are officially married in the ocean since they can't do it outside the public. SPLASH was one of the most romantic movie i ever seen between a human and a mermaid which reminds me of The Little Mermaid cartoon movie. Daryl Hannah was one of the best mermaid that was cast in a movie. Tom Hanks played a great role of being in this movie. Get this 20th Anniversary Edition DVD specially made for remastering the old edition DVD. A great romantic mermaid story. The movie is rated PG, but there was some nudity of Daryl Hannah which considered to be at least PG-13, but i really didn't care about the rating. The movie was fanastic and an awesome movie you'll never forget. |
