Jane Seymour stole my heart forever in this fantasy love story. A brilliant and troubled young actress, she struggled with her success and her dominating coach and mentor. She had fame and promises of riches but no love...
Christopher Reeves, in a role that couldn't be further from Superman, discovers the young actress in as unlikely a way as possbile and becomes obsessed with whom he already is certain is his true love.
What ensues is a most tragic and lovely tale of hope, longing, and a love that has no bounds.
A bit overacted in portions, it still works for this specific story. Filmed in part at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island in Michigan, the scenery and setting is exceptional for the surreal tale. |
