caine's acting in this film is excellent;as a matter of fact, this is the show that got me "hooked" on caine, many years ago. the performance he gives is wonderful. to be able to play two various/entirely different characters within the same film surely was a "tough" job for him. it took some time before was able to determine that, in fact, that he wasn't the "bad guy"! olivier's acting added more to the "scary" part of the show;not knowing or expecting the complete turn-around that occured, even after "detective" caine came into the show. why, i must ask, WHY, do they not make movies of such quality anymore? |
