I rented this movie after not having seen it since I was about 8. I kind of wish I hadn't. Ally Sheedy's character is very very annoying. One second she's telling "number 5" that he's "just a robot and isn't alive" and the very next second she's crying on him, hugging him, or saying crap like "Oh number 5! what am I gonna do?!?!". The only redeeming characters are Number 5 and Fisher Stevens' Indian scientist character ("ohhh I am sporting a HUGE woody right now!!"). The plot and acting overall seems worthy of a children's movie. but then you've got Indian guy talking about his boner, and the word "*****" one too many times. These things combined make it a little to "naughty" for a children's movie, so instead we're left with a mediocre, cheesy grown-up movie. |
