Worthwhile, uncliche, characters you wont forget!

When some people see a black and white film, they immediately recoil which would be a notable mistake should you come across the film SEVEN SAMURAI.
The characters are, I think, what makes this film above and beyond most films of its genere. The film's end comes, yet the desire remains to follow the characters further... This is a good indication that the creators have done their job.
The script, too, is freshly written with characters that are hardly what they appear when you first meet them. Very uncliche.
The plot is rather straightforward and stands at a lengthy 3 and a half hours, but it hardly feels like it when viewing.
I think Hollywood should consider looking at this as an item that should be remade and modernized.
The visuals are good for their time, and the acting of the primary characters is noteworthy. A bit of overacting is evident but is actually true to the time period that this film was made. The ongoing drum whenever the Grandad is shown is classic.
Highly recommended!
