One of the Best Horror Films Ever

Rosemary's Baby is, if not the best horror film ever, one of the best. Sure, it's doesn't have the hip visuals that modern day horror movies like Resident Evil and Dog Soldiers, but hey, it was made in 1968! The reason this movie is such a great horror film is because it could very well appear in the dictionary next to "horror". This film is the archetype for a horror movie. At first, it seems to be a nice story of a well to do couple having a baby. Then the creepiness sets in, with the crazy neighbor, the wierd potion, the odd dreams. As Rosemary fights to uncover the truth behind her pregnancy, one is readied for the final, awful truth about the baby's father. This movie defines horror, and while jaded fans might not find it scary, it still presents one of the most original horror films in existence. |
