Rosemary's Baby is one of the best horror films ever made. Roman Polanski brilliantly allows the story to pace itself and develop its central characters so that when sinister events start to occur, they are all too frightening. Mia Farrow and Ruth Gordon are outstanding and from Gordon's performance, you would never think she was a satan worshiper. The building dread in Rosemary's Baby leads to a shocking ending that doesn't necessarily suprise us, but still leaves us stunned. Every horror movie fan should see this movie. There is no gore, but the atmosphere and chills are terrific. |
